Under An Oak: A Tree Tour in Poetry
“Under An Oak” is a joint project between students in the Advance Poetry Workshop and Haverford's Arboretum Association. Each student has chosen a tree on Haverford’s campus to write about for the spring semester. The tour includes readings at each of the dozen trees the students selected. The poetry tree tour will embark from Sharpless Hall at 3 pm on April 16th. That evening students and faculty in the English Department will also give a reading of tree poems in Woodside Cottage at 8 pm. The program will be hosted by Visiting Assistant Professor Thomas Devaney and will be introduced by Arboretum Director Bill Astifan.
